Old By-Laws

BLUE RIVER VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY

SECTION 1

Such rules, regulations and by laws as are deemed necessary for the proper conduct of this organization shall be adopted.

SECTION 2

No rules, regulations or by-laws shall be adopted which are contrary to this CONSTITUTION.

SECTION 3

In all meetings, parliamentary rules shall serve as standard procedure.

SECTION 4

It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep the CONSTITUTION and BY-LAWS of the Club and have the same with him/her at every regular and special meeting. The Secretary shall cause all amendments, changes and additions to be noted thereon and shall permit same to be consulted by members upon request.

SECTION 5

There shall be a regular meeting on the 3rd Monday of every other month and an executive committee meeting on the lst Monday of every month except it being a holiday. If a holiday falls on the regularly scheduled night, there will be no meeting to replace it. There shall be other special meetings as directed by the President.

SECTION 6

Annual dues are $10 (ten dollars) and payable in advance. Dues are for a period from January 1 to December 31 and are not prorated.

SECTION 7

CLUB nets will be established on 2 meters and/or 440 MHz once a week under the direction of the Emergency Coordinators.

SECTION 8

The Secretary shall see that all correspondence to the CLUB is available for all members to see at regularly scheduled meetings.

SECTION 9

A copy of the CONSTITUTION and BY-LAWS will be in the possession of all elected officers at each meeting.

SECTION 10

All members will be notified by phone, radio or mail of all activities such as Field Day, VHF Contests, etc. Committees will be appointed for each event if deemed necessary by the President.

SECTION 11

Committees in existence at the time of election of officers will be suspended and new committee members will be appointed by the newly elected President.

SECTION 12

The President will appoint a nominating committee in September for the nomination of new officers. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the time of election.

SECTION 13

By BY-LAWS may be changed by simple majority (2/3) vote at any meeting. All members will be notified in writing 30 days prior to the proposed change.

SECTION 14

The CONSTITUTION or BY-LAWS may be changed by any member submitting any change in writing to the Secretary to be voted on the membership.
